Why did I become a wedding and party planner?
Quite simply, I love organising, I love the build up to parties and celebrations. I love the buzz of bringing all aspects of the event together. I so enjoy seeing people get together with family and friends for an amazing celebration.
I spent the majority of my working life doing just that. I worked in the City of London where my principal role was to organise social events and dinners for senior members of the Bar and Judiciary, ranging from formal dinners for up to 170 people, garden parties, children’s parties and a ball for 1,000 people. Attention to detail was paramount in this role. I worked alongside our excellent caterers and it highlighted to me the importance of having outstanding suppliers.
After having time off for my family I started to get itchy feet and felt ready to dust off my organising skills. It has been a long standing ambition of mine to set up a business organising weddings and parties. In order to consolidate my experience I attained a NCFE Event Manager and Wedding Planner Level 4 Certificate and trained with UKAWP.
I am located in Oxfordshire and live with my husband, two teenage children, two dogs and a cat. When I am not working I enjoy walking my two energetic labradors, tennis, yoga, swimming, meeting up with friends and most importantly spending time with my family.
