There’s something utterly magical about a marquee wedding in the English countryside, and Georgi and Ross’s celebration in their Oxfordshire garden was no exception. Held in the soft warmth of mid-May, their day was an absolute joy to plan and bring to life.

Georgi and Ross chose to marry quietly the day before, surrounded by just their immediate family – a beautifully intimate moment just for them. The following day, they opened up their home and hearts to celebrate with their wider circle of friends and family, and it truly was the most wonderful gathering.
The garden itself provided the perfect backdrop – elegant, relaxed, and full of seasonal charm. We worked with the fantastic team at Original Marquees, whose stunning canvas marquee blended seamlessly into the garden’s natural beauty. It created a light-filled, inviting space where guests could enjoy the festivities from afternoon through to evening. Inside the marquee, Flowers by Kirsty worked her magic, dressing the space with soft, romantic florals in dreamy pastels. Her arrangements added a whimsical, elegant touch – the perfect reflection of Georgi’s style and the relaxed luxury of the day.

The weather was on our side – the sun shone brightly all afternoon, a true gift for a spring wedding. As guests began to arrive from 2pm, they were greeted with chilled Prosecco and canapés, enjoyed on the lawn with the gentle sounds of an acoustic duo playing in the background. It created the most relaxed, celebratory atmosphere – exactly what Georgi and Ross had hoped for.
Meanwhile, inside the house, Claire Hanson from MACH Management was with Georgi putting the finishing touches to her hair and make-up. Georgi looked absolutely radiant in a modern, elegant two-piece that suited her perfectly – sophisticated yet relaxed. A particularly thoughtful addition to the day was live sketch artist Jessica Paints Weddings, who delighted guests by creating beautiful portraits throughout the afternoon. Each guest was able to take home their sketch as a keepsake – such a personal and memorable touch.
Dinner was served in true sharing style – a delicious, seasonal three-course menu by the wonderful Fingers and Forks. As the evening drew in, guests tucked into late-night bites and the most scrumptious cupcakes by Sarah Anderson of Cakeaways.
The energy on the dance floor was electric thanks to the incredible Brightmoor Motown band – they had everyone up on their feet, and the marquee was filled with dancing and laughter well into the night.
It was a joy to see it all come together so beautifully, and even more of a joy to work with such a lovely couple. The whole day was captured perfectly by Jessica Bevan Photography, who documented every moment with such warmth and artistry.
Georgi and Ross’s wedding was a true reflection of them – relaxed, joyful, and filled with love. It was a pleasure to be part of it.
