As a wedding planner, you look forward to each and every wedding day that you’ve contributed to, and this particular wedding was no exception. In 2023, I had the absolute pleasure of being part of Klara and Will’s wedding day – a truly magical celebration set in the heart of Oxford. Their day was filled with personal touches, thoughtful details, and a nod to the city where their love story began.

Klara and Will both studied at Oxford, which made it the perfect location for their wedding. The day began with a stunning ceremony in the magnificent Magdalen College Chapel. Surrounded by soaring architecture and the warmth of their loved ones, it was a deeply moving and traditional service that truly reflected the couple’s love and commitment.
After the ceremony, guests strolled across the road to the Oxford Botanic Garden, where a marquee reception awaited. The marquee, provided by Claremont Marquees, looked absolutely breathtaking. Klara’s vision was to bring the essence of the Botanic Garden into the space, and she truly succeeded. The elegant décor, paired with beautiful floral arrangements by Nong Smitinand Flowers, created a fresh, romantic atmosphere. Adding a deeply personal touch, Klara made all the stationery herself with a flower and plant theme. She also crafted an incredible 1000 origami paper cranes, a Japanese tradition symbolising happiness and prosperity in marriage – such an impressive and meaningful labour of love.
The reception began with a Pimms and cupcake welcome, featuring sweet treats by Sarah Anderson of Cakeaways, who also created the beautiful wedding cake. Greens Catering provided a delicious three-course meal that had everyone raving. The food was exceptional, and the service flawless.

As the evening unfolded, the celebrations truly came alive. The dance floor was packed as guests danced the night away to music provided by a DJ from Prelude Entertainment. It was a joy to see everyone having such a fantastic time – although I always wish I could get on the dancefloor too!

Klara and Will’s wedding was a true reflection of their love and personalities. It was such an honour to be a part of their special day and to work alongside such an incredible team of suppliers.
