As a wedding planner, I often hear from suppliers how much smoother the day runs when there’s someone coordinating behind the scenes. Having a planner on board doesn’t just help couples — it also makes a real difference for the team working to bring the day together.

Michael Liedtke, a photographer from the US, recently joined us for a destination wedding at Ardington House. After the wedding, he shared, “Joanna’s attention to detail is second to none — from table decorations to the wedding day timeline — everything came together beautifully.”
That level of organisation doesn’t happen by chance. It comes from clear communication, well-thought-out schedules, and making sure every supplier knows exactly where they need to be and when.
Photographers, like Michael, need a solid timeline to do their job well — knowing when the ceremony starts, when golden hour is, and how much time is set aside for portraits. Florists rely on coordinated delivery slots and enough time to install arrangements. Caterers need clear timings for service. Musicians and registrars appreciate having one point of contact who keeps everything running to time.
When there’s no planner, suppliers often end up fielding questions, solving problems, or trying to make judgement calls that really shouldn’t fall to them. That’s not ideal — for them, or for you. A good planner takes that pressure away, so each supplier can focus on what they do best.
It also helps avoid delays, miscommunication, and last-minute panics. Everyone’s working towards the same plan, and I’m there to make sure it all comes together as agreed.

So while a wedding planner is, of course, there to support you, we’re also here to support your supplier team — and that leads to a better experience for everyone involved.
At Joanna Wilford Weddings, I believe a well-run day doesn’t have to feel rushed or stressful. With the right planning in place, it can feel calm, enjoyable, and completely seamless — just as it should be.
